Decision on the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Referral - Controlled Action

A delegate of the Minister for Environment and Energy has decided that construction of North East Link is a controlled action under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

The Minister for Planning has declared the works proposed by the North East Link Authority to be Public Works for the purposes of the Environment Effects Act 1978, requiring the North East Link Authority to produce an Environment Effects Statement (EES).
