Environment Effects Statement public hearing

The Minister for Planning has appointed a joint Inquiry and Advisory Committee under the Environment Effects Act 1978 and Planning and Environment Act 1987.

The Inquiry and Advisory Committee will review the Environment Effects Statement (EES), draft Planning Scheme Amendment, Works Approval application, public submissions, and investigate and consider the environmental effects of the Project in accordance with Terms of Reference approved by the Minister for Planning.

EES directions hearing

The Directions Hearing was held Friday 21 June 2019 at The Veneto Club, Bulleen.

At this hearing, the Inquiry and Advisory Committee established the necessary arrangements and a timetable for the public hearing.

EES public hearing

The public hearing for the North East Link Environment Effects Statement (EES) ended Monday 16 September.

Hundreds of people attended the thirty four day hearing at the Veneto Club in Bulleen, since the hearing started in July. More than two hundred people presented submissions to the independent Inquiry and Advisory Committee (IAC) panel. The daily recordings are available on the Engage Victoria website.
